We built a small collection of games for guests to play together – no app to download, no account to create, nothing to install. Just open a link on your phone and you’re in.
You can find them all here:
Or scan the QR code on the notice board in the common area.
Why we made this
Koh Samet is a small island and the best nights here often start with a conversation you weren’t expecting. Whether you’re getting warmed up before heading out, staying in with some drinks, or just want something to get the table talking – these are for you.
We wanted to give guests something for those moments. Something low-pressure and easy to pick up.
May and I have hosted a lot of people over the years and the best nights in this hostel have always come from small things – someone pulling out a deck of cards, a conversation that started over breakfast and ran until dark. We wanted to build something that could do the same job, without needing a deck of cards or a particular personality type to get it going.
What’s there
We’re adding new games all the time – head to the games page to see what’s currently available.
They’re designed for those nights when you’re staying in and want something to get conversation going, as a warm-up before a night out, or just something fun to do when it’s raining and the beach isn’t happening.
How to access the games
Two ways – the link is cocoonsamet.com/games/ or scan the QR code on the notice board in the common area. No logins, no accounts, works on any phone browser.
We hope it helps
We’re not trying to programme your holiday. If you want to sit in silence with a book, that’s a perfect evening. But if you’re looking for a reason to talk to the people around you, or you need something to do while the rain passes, this is here.
If you play and have suggestions – more questions, a game you’d like to see, something that didn’t work – come and tell us at the front desk. We built this quickly and we’re genuinely open to making it better.
Hope it’s useful.
