🏝️ Tours & Activities
We arrange two popular boat tours from Koh Samet, both departing from Luke Yon Bay. Just ask at reception to book your spot.
5 Island Tour — 500 Baht 2pm – 5pm | Departs & returns: Luke Yon Bay
A three-hour afternoon trip taking in five islands, with snorkelling stops, snacks, soft drinks, and underwater photographs included.
6 Island Tour — 700 Baht 12pm – 5pm | Departs & returns: Luke Yon Bay
The longer full-afternoon option — six islands, snorkelling, snacks, soft drinks, underwater photographs, and lunch included.
⚠️ What to bring for both tours:
- Your national park ticket (must be no more than 5 days old — if yours has expired, ask at reception or check with other guests)
- An extra 100 baht coral conservation fee paid on the day
🥾 The Nature Trail — Walk With Nick
Koh Samet has a beautiful nature trail through the interior of the island, but it can feel a little daunting if you’re heading out alone. If you’d like some company — and a guide who knows the route — ask Nick at reception. If he’s free, he’ll walk it with you.
It’s one of the quieter, more rewarding things to do on the island and doesn’t cost a thing. Read more about the Koh Samet nature trail here.
👕 Laundry — 80 Baht/kg
Leave it with us and we’ll have it washed, dried, and folded. At 80 baht per kilo, it’s the best full-service laundry rate on the island.
Drop your bag at reception with Jang. Turnaround is typically next-day.
🛏️ Bed Linen
Your linen is freshly made up when you arrive. If you’re staying three nights or more, we’ll change it for free — just ask at reception. Prefer a fresh change sooner? No problem, we can do that for 150 baht.
🏖️ Towel Hire — 50 Baht
Didn’t pack a beach towel? We’ve got you. Hire one for 50 baht and keep it for the duration of your stay — no daily charge, no hassle.
📚 Book Exchange & Rental
Traveling with a good book and finished it? Swap it for something from our shelf — one book for one book, free of charge.
Not carrying anything to swap? You’re still welcome to borrow from the collection. Here’s how it works:
- Reading on the property? Completely free — just grab a book and enjoy.
- Want to take it to the beach or out exploring? We ask for a 200 baht deposit, fully refunded when you bring the book back.
- Fallen in love with it and want to keep it? We just keep the deposit — the book is yours.
It’s a relaxed system built on trust. We think you’ll like it.
🚌 Getting Around Thailand — Buses, Trains & Ferries

🧳 Late Checkout & Early Arrival
Check-in is at 2pm and checkout is at 11.30, but we don’t want you clock-watching.
If you arrive before your room is ready, you’re welcome to drop your bags and use the common areas — grab a coffee, get your bearings, and start enjoying the island.
If you’ve checked out but your boat isn’t until later, the same applies. Hang around, relax, make yourself at home. The Cocoon doesn’t stop being your base just because you’ve handed in your key.
Luggage storage is available before check-in and after checkout at no charge — just leave it with us and head out with nothing but your beach bag.
🚿 Pre-Departure Shower
Nobody wants to spend four hours on a bus smelling like sunscreen and saltwater. If you’ve spent your last day on the beach, you’re welcome to use the showers before you head to the pier — just ask at reception.
