At The Cocoon, we’re a husband-and-wife team who live on Koh Samet and run the hostel day-to-day.
Nick, originally from England, has travelled extensively and stayed in more hostels than he can count. He knows first-hand what travellers actually value — comfort, good sleep, a relaxed social atmosphere, and honest value.
May is from Lampang in northern Thailand and has called Koh Samet home for over a decade. With years of experience managing a hotel on the island, she brings deep local knowledge and a strong hospitality background that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Together, we’ve created The Cocoon as a calm, comfortable home base for travellers — a place to rest well, connect easily, and explore the island with confidence.
